wiring hot grips

just bought myself a new set of hot grips. the last ones were fitted directly to the battery, but want to hard wire these in linked to the ignition. Any advice?

first set i got were wired to the lights as a double safe guard i.e. turn lights off before turning bike off. but someone told me to wire to the main fuse opposite side to ignition

always run high current drain equipment through it's own fused direct connection to the battery AND through a relay. Pick up your ignition tap from an auxillary connection or tap into something that goes off with the ignition - always test that the connection goes off with a meter. If the grips do not come with a power light consider fitting one.

Do not use Scotchlocks!! - solder connections with heat shrink or screw connector blocks at the very least but heatshrink are less prone to water problems.

Mine have been wired into the front light so when engine is off so are the grips so no flat battery
